Our traveling life was interrupted for about 30 years while we tended to our career and family. Together we published a weekly newspaper and monthly magazines in Minneapolis/St. Paul (MN), and raised two kids. Before all that, when we were lots younger, we lived in Spain for about a year and a half. (It’s still one of our favorite places.) Once we retired from business, we decided to sell our house and cars and most of our stuff, trading property tax payments for life on the road. Since 2010, we’ve visited over 60 countries on six continents. We come back to the U.S. regularly, of course, to see family and to set off on our annual road trips.
Over the course of our travels, we’ve done everything from house sitting with dogs and horses in Spain to hiking through the jungle in Guatemala. Our sightseeing is focused on history, arts and culture, and nature and wildlife. While we love big landscapes, we also enjoy urban living, good food, and walking all over cities. Much of our joy comes from sharing photos and stories about these interests.
