I don’t know about you, but I love my extended family. Can’t get enough of them. Especially the ones I inherited when I married my amazing wife. They’re the best! And with Thanksgiving, and assorted winter holidays coming up, there’s no better way to say I love you than not crashing at any of their houses when my crew rolls into town.
Did I mention I really love them? That’s because they’re great, but also because I stay at a nearby Best Western® Hotels & Resorts location whenever we visit. It’s a great way for us to have a home base and take a break from all that unyielding love. Between us, I tell my wife we’re doing our family a favor. They don’t have to roll out the red carpet, and go out of their way to accommodate us. They already have enough to worry about with all that cleaning, the not judging each other, and the myriad meals required but to feed my expanding waist line, and my always ravenous teenaged twin boys.
Truthfully, too much of me is never a good thing. But also, I really need downtime from all that smiling, and being a great husband, and engaging everyone in meaningful conversations which start with such questions as, ‘How is school going?,’ or ‘What’s new at work?,’ and ‘Can you believe how quickly the year flew by?’ Typical answers: Good, nothing, and yup, the year did fly by. I really want to be clear, I REALLY love all of them. Every. Single. One.
Also, my apologies to the Best Western Providence-Seekonk Inn, where we stayed in September. My boys ate so much breakfast each day, we nearly put you out of business. Oops!
Fortunately, the perfect solution for holiday season travel has come to me. Best Western Hotels & Resorts is helping me keep the love train chugging along by making it easier to claim free nights. In fact, now through January 31, 2018, Best Western Rewards members such as myself can redeem 10,000 points (or fewer) for a free night. But of course, the discounted free night offer is only valid for stays at Best Western® branded hotels in North America.
Now, my time well spent time with family members is also easy on my holiday budget.
Note to my amazing, understanding compassionate wife: There was zero sarcasm in this post. None. Uh-oh, looks like I’m going to have to cash in some more points and get another room. Glad those free nights are costing me fewer points. And thanks Best Western for making my holiday season easier, and making sure I don’t have to sleep in the car.
